topped the Tampico Stogies by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
Chicago scored the deciding run in the 8th inning.  After two outs Jose
Bautista ripped a solo home run (his 11th of the season).  Chicago had 10
hits for the afternoon while Tampico had 7.  
 
Chris Capuano(9-6) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Mike
Stanton recorded the save, his 4th.  Enrique Gonzalez*(2-5) was charged with
the loss in relief.  
 
Chicago now has a record of a division leading 51-40. Tampico has a record of
41-50 after the loss.
